Field Staff Hub
Privacy
How the DMT Field Staff Hub and the DMT Field app handle the personal information of the DMT staff who use them.
Updated October 19, 2026
Who this covers
The Field Staff Hub, the office web app, and the DMT Field app, its phone companion, are internal tools of DMT Business Group. They are for DMT staff only. DMT creates every account; there is no public sign-up. For DMT's website and its other services, see DMT's general privacy policy.
What we hold about you
- Your name, role, division, trade level and certifications.
- Your work mobile number and email, used to sign you in and to send you work updates.
- Your employee code, and your PIN, which is stored only as a one-way hash that nobody can read back.
- Your schedule and job assignments, and the notes and materials you record on a job.
- Your time-off requests and the days you mark yourself available for overtime. An absence records only its dates and its broad type, never an illness or a medical reason.
- A notification token for your phone, if you allow notifications.
- Records of sign-ins and account changes, kept for security, including the network address your device signed in from.
How it is used
Only to run DMT's operations: scheduling work, coordinating jobs, telling you about changes to your work, and keeping accounts secure. It is not sold, not shared for advertising, and not used for marketing.
Colleagues see what their role needs. Your contact details are not shown in schedules, and the field app shows a colleague only that you are off, never why.
Where it is stored, and who helps us
The database and the Hub's servers are in Canada, and your information is handled under Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). These service providers process it for DMT and for no other purpose; Sentry and PostHog are in the European Union:
- Supabase stores the database, in Canada.
- Vercel runs the Hub and its server, in Canada.
- Twilio sends text messages, including sign-in codes.
- Resend sends email.
- Apple and Google deliver notifications to your phone through Expo. A notification says only that you have a new update from DMT.
- Sentry receives error reports so faults can be fixed, in the European Union. Phone numbers, email addresses and the values a failed request carried are removed first.
- PostHog records which parts of the Hub you use, tied to your account, in the European Union. It records no screens and no keystrokes.
On your phone
The DMT Field app keeps an encrypted copy of your jobs and schedule on your phone, so it works without signal. You unlock it with your face or fingerprint, which never leave your phone, or with your PIN. Signing out, or entering the wrong PIN too many times, erases that copy.
Your choices
You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings, and change which messages reach you by text or email in the Hub. You can ask to see the information DMT holds about you, ask for a correction, or ask a question about this notice, by contacting the DMT office.
